總評 Commentary

At the very moment of the pilgrims' vindication — seal poised over the rescript — the immortals interpose to snatch back the credit, insisting the rain was theirs. The move resets the contest just short of resolution: unable to deny the rain, they dispute its authorship, and the muddle-headed king, as ever, is ready to be swayed. The next batch takes up Wukong's answer — a fresh, unanswerable test: let the Daoists summon the dragons into visible form.
