總評 Commentary

Here the defence turns genuinely clever: Wukong shifts from denying the facts to attacking the inference, arguing that newcomers ignorant of the very streets could not have found the abbey by night, and that anyone might have left the tell-tale urine. The appeal to “false names and borrowed surnames” converts the immortals' certainty into mere assertion — and it works, unsettling the muddle-headed king in the next passage.
