總評 Commentary
The Daoist recites the tally of Ch.44's and this chapter's outrages — the slain disciples and freed prisoners of the daytime, the desecrated abbey and stolen offerings of the night — building the case that will turn the king against the pilgrims. The graph 觀 here takes its temple reading guàn (the 三清觀), distinct from the guān of “to observe”.
