總評 Commentary
The reversal is complete and public: the wind-gods dare not disobey the Great Sage, and the altar falls silent. Bajie — who panicked a few passages ago — now crows loudest, taunting the immortal to yield the platform. The scene sets the pattern for the whole contest: the Daoist strikes his tablet, nothing comes, and the pilgrims jeer, a rhythm the next batch repeats with cloud and thunder.
