總評 Commentary

The pilgrims robe and equip themselves for a formal audience — cassock, rescript, bowl, and staff — and present themselves with all due protocol at the Five-Phoenix Tower. The careful ceremony of approach (bows, names, a request relayed through the gate-usher) underscores that the coming clash is to be fought not with weapons but within the forms of the court itself.
