總評 Commentary

The vats of willow-strewn water and the stakes inscribed with the thunder-envoys' names are the working parts of the rite: the tablet-strokes will summon the Thunder Bureau, the water and willow invite the rain. The passage yields a clean minimal pair for — the “all” of dōu and the “bureau” of (雷霆都司) — within a single breath of description.
