A Feigned Opening Takes the Fiend; Chained and Hauled Ashore
這太子將三稜簡閃了一個破綻，那妖精不知是詐，鑽將進來，被他使個解數，把妖精右臂只一簡，打了個躘踵。趕上前，又一拍腳，跌倒在地。眾海兵一擁上前，揪翻住，將繩子背綁了雙手，將鐵索穿了琵琶骨，拿上岸來。押至孫行者面前道：「大聖，小龍子捉住妖鼉，請大聖定奪。」这太子将三棱简闪了一个破绽，那妖精不知是诈，钻将进来，被他使个解数，把妖精右臂只一简，打了个躘踵。赶上前，又一拍脚，跌倒在地。众海兵一拥上前，揪翻住，将绳子背绑了双手，将铁索穿了琵琶骨，拿上岸来。押至孙行者面前道：「大圣，小龙子捉住妖鼍，请大圣定夺。」

The prince, with his three-edged mace, feigned an opening, and the fiend, not knowing it a ruse, bored in — whereupon the prince, with a deft maneuver, gave the fiend's right arm a single crack of the mace and sent him stumbling.

The sea-troops swarmed up together, dragged him over and pinned him, bound his two hands behind his back with rope, threaded an iron chain through his shoulder-bone, and hauled him up onto the bank.

They brought him before Sun the Pilgrim: 'Great Sage, your little dragon has taken the fiend-alligator; we beg the Great Sage to dispose of him.'
總評 Commentary
The prince's feint undoes the fiend: a mace-crack to the arm, a kick, and the sea-troops bind him — hands roped, an iron chain through the shoulder-bone — and haul him ashore to Pilgrim for judgment. The capture the whole chapter has driven toward is done.
