走得 takes and 一路 is by mechanical sandhi. The two clauses run under one ; in a single sentence and are joined (rule J1). 錦上添花 and 人前顯貴 are both set phrases, and using two in a row is how a young man compliments a famous one.

遠觀 takes guān and 那怪 takes . He asks for the comparison rather than waiting for it, which is entirely in character.

Deng and Zhang, the two lords, laughed and said, "If thieving is to be the order of the day, there is no one able but the Great Sage. 總評 Commentary

The chapter's solution is arrived at by committee, and it is theft. Four celestial offices, having lost between them six divine weapons, a fire arsenal and half a river, conclude that the only remaining resource is the prisoner of the Five Phases Mountain and his record.

The thunder lords' list is precise — imperial wine, peaches, dragon liver, phoenix marrow, the Lord Lao's elixir — and every item is from chapters 5 and 7. The book is reminding us that the qualification Heaven now needs is exactly the crime Heaven punished him for.

魔王好治,只是套子難降 is the chapter's thesis in thirteen graphs, and Wukong has been saying it since the thirteenth passage. It took four defeats for the rest of the company to agree.
